May 1, 2008 will be the next Flood Awareness event. The half-day event  (11:30 - 2:30) for sixth grade students includes several stations about how rivers behave and culminates in a sand-bagging contest. Help your school earn the rotating trophy, and have lots of fun. Teachers contact the District to get involved.
